By November 4th, seven longtime Coney Island boardwalk businesses will shutter their doors for good.

Tricia Vita grew up working in her family’s amusement business and now works in Coney island. She has done an excellent job of documenting the changes occurring in Coney Island in her blog Amusing the Zillion.  She’s currently honoring the remaining days of these beloved businesses by posting a photo a day; the photos accompanied by her own local and historical knowledge of the area gives a unique, somber glimpse into Coney Island’s redevelopment process.
