Rockefeller Center’s Pop-Up Cranberry Bog

Rockefeller Center isn’t exactly where a New Yorker would go to enjoy a bit of nature, but one promotion meant to help end child hunger in America brought 2,000 pounds of cranberries to the middle of the city this week.

Events at the pop-up cranberry bog, meant to give city dwellers a sense of the work involved in cranberry growing and harvesting, included talks with growers and the opportunity to taste food and non-alcoholic drinks made with cranberries.
